This Swedish Gustavian-style chest features beautiful marquetry inlay and is veneered in rosewood and walnut. It has three drawers, each adorned with intricately detailed marquetry enhanced by delicate penwork accents. The square, tapered legs elegantly end in bronze sabots, reflecting the neoclassical influences of the Gustavian era. 

The top drawer front is further enhanced with a cast bronze frieze, adding a touch of refined ornamentation. The chest is topped with its original stone surface from northern Sweden, and the squared front corners emphasize clean, classic lines. Inside the center drawer, you’ll find the signature of the master carpenter who crafted this exceptional piece, along with the date, 1945.
